Holiday park operator Haven has revealed plans for a huge investment with new play and adventure attractions and a brand new entertainment centre at a Kent park.

The company's site at Allhallows Holiday Park near Rochester is set for a major overhaul this year with work due to begin in the coming weeks.

The new adventure park is due to be finished in spring with the new entertainment centre finished in the autumn, the park says.

New jobs will be created – although the park has not confirmed final numbers – and says it is part of its Park for the Future project rolled out at its other sites since 2019.

Haven says the new Adventure Village and Marina Bar and Stage venues will hope to attract further visitors to the Allhallows park on the Hoo Peninsula.

The Adventure Village will provide a range of brand new thrill-seeking fun for children and adults alike including an aerial adventure course with two designed for visitors above and below 1.2m tall.

The new area will also feature The Jump – an attraction which sees people leap into a huge airbag beneath them at heights of three metres or six metres.

There are also going to be bungee trampolines and a climbing wall with a host of challenges to overcome.

Other activities will include a multi-use games area, kart and bike hire and sand play and outdoor play areas.

Canine visitors are not left out and will be able to use the Bark Yard special dogs play area.

An outdoor stage area will put on a range of entertainment and seating options for all to enjoy the new outdoor bar.

Inside, the new entertainment complex called the Marina Bar and Stage is providing a top level venue and expanded capacity for the acts and shows put on by the park.

It will replace the existing ShowBar which holds 280 guests and accommodate for 920 people to enjoy day and night time acts.

An external terrace at the new facility will hold 100 people and facing the north-west to enjoy sunset views across the Thames Estuary as well as digital screens for stage performances or sporting events to be screened.

The company is also planning to invest in new accommodation with 75 new pitches across two new areas of the park for both holiday rental and home ownership.

John Coltman, general manager at Allhallows Holiday Park, said: “The new developments are such an exciting development to the park.

"With the work over the next few months bringing us both a new Adventure Village and a Marina Bar and Stage, we will have something to offer all our guests and owners and having seen the work at other parks it really will be something that is quite unique to the area."
