Hunt for Gillingham Park 'rapist' continues

Police are still on the hunt for a suspect after a girl was allegedly raped on a park bench last month.

An e-fit was released on Friday in an effort by detectives to track down her attacker, who is thought to be aged about 16.

Officers are still looking for the individual, despite recent footage on social media suggesting he had been detained.

Police are hunting a rapist after an attack in Gillingham Park (11903213)

The attack is reported to have happened in Gillingham Park, in Park Avenue, on Saturday, May 18 between 4pm and 8pm.

A girl in her mid-teens was approached by the boy as she sat on a bench. He then reportedly grabbed her and raped her.

The suspect was white, 5ft 5ins, of medium build with mousey coloured hair that was long on top.

He wore grey Nike trainers with a white sole and black jeans. He had a deep voice and was wearing glasses with thin lenses that were rectangular in shape.
