Ice men out to defeat bogey team

THE Medway-based Invicta Dynamos ice hockey squad face a difficult task on Sunday against Oxford City Stars - the only ENHL side to have beaten the Mos this season. And they’ve done it three times.

Invicta lost twice in Oxford, 7-4 in the league and 8-6 in the cup, and the Stars also won at the Ice Bowl 5-4 as they lifted the ENHL Cup to deny the Mos the treble they sought.

Dynamos bench coach Kevin Parrish said: “Oxford are 3-1 up on us this season and although they’ve beaten us twice at their place we must get a win there this time.

“In training this week we have been working hard on a couple of things. We will try and sock it to them by changing our tactics and taking them by surprise. Kevin Lake is our only real doubt after twisting an ankle.”
