Tim Smith voted Invicta Dynamos’ Defenceman of the Year again last season, has committed himself to a fifth successive campaign with the club.

Smith (pictured) has made 145 appearances since joining the Mos from Peterborough in 2007 and won the top defenceman award for the past two years.

Head coach Kevin Parrish said: "He was composed and assured throughout last season and was not far from being our player of the year.

"On top of this he showed excellent leadership qualities. I am delighted he is returning to offer us more of the same come 2011-12."

Parrish added: "Tim has one of the best games in the division. He has the vision and hands that, in my opinion, make him the strongest offensive ‘D’ man in the our league while, at the back, his size, dedication and uncompromising approach ensure he’s a force to be reckoned with."

Parrish has now re-signed six members of last season’s squad – Tim Smith, Anthony Lennon, Jack Tarczcki, Corey Watkins, Andy Smith and Daniel Fudger – and also added two new faces, Robbie Brown and Richard Bentham.
