Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish launched a stinging attack on his players following ths team’s shock defeat at Milton Keynes Thunder on Sunday.

A depleted Mos – without top-scorer Andy Smith and Tim Smith – went down 3-2 at third-bottom Thunder to suffer their first defeat in 11 games in ENIHL Division 1 South, and just their second of the season.

Daniel Borges and Michael Timms put the Mos 2-1 ahead in the first period but the Thunder came back to secure their first ever win over Invicta in 23 meetings.

Parrish stormed: “It was disgraceful and if it happens again heads will roll. There was no passion, no heart, we were just individuals. It was a very bad day at the office. Some of them didn’t even need a shower after the game.

“We have got paying fans who spend their hard-earned money watching us and the players owe them an apology.”

He added: “You don’t expect that. If we have got some players who think they’re too good for this league, well, clearly they’re not after watching that.

“I said if anyone wanted me to release them so they could go to the EPL then they should call me, but the phone hasn’t rung.

“I do want to keep the group together, but we could do with a couple of tweaks.”

Mos will look to get back on track with a trip to Swindon on Saturday before the visit of Streatham to Silver Blades on Sunday.

Andy Smith should be back from a bug but Tim Smith has been stranded in Sheffield by the bad weather and may not be back in time to play.
