Invicta Dynamos started their new ENIHL Division 1 South season with a weekend double-header success over Bracknell Hornets.

They won 7-1 at Gillingham on Sunday, following a 5-1 win in Berkshire the previous evening.

Man-of-the-Match Nicky Lewis, pictured, and Robbie Brown both netted twice, with Daniel Fudger, Justin Noble and Andy Smith adding the others.

Dynamos led 3-0 at the end of the first period, Hornets pulled one back through Nick Minhinnick in the second, but the home side scored four unanswered goals in the third.

Netminder Andy Moffat was the hero with a man-of-the-match performance in Berkshire on Saturday. Ryan Ellis scored twice on his debut, with Fudger, Noble and Grant Baxter getting the others.

Mos led 4-0 at the end of the second period, but, with Corey Watkins and Anthony Lennon off the ice for minors following a goalmouth scramble, Hornets' Alan Lack pulled one back.

Baxter added the fifth, tapping in after Fudger’s fierce drive from deep rebounded off the upright.
