Andy Smith’s hat-trick helped Invicta Dynamos remain on course for the English National Ice Hockey Division 1 South play-offs with a 9-3 win over Bracknell Bees at Silver Blades on Sunday.

The Mos led 4-1 at the end of the first period, before increasing their lead to 8-2 at the end of the second, with both teams scoring once in the last.

Smith (pictured) was the star with three, while Dynamos’ other scorers were Ryan Ellis (two), Nicky Lewis, Callum Fowler, Justin Noble and Anthony Lennon.

Invicta had Dan Fudger sin binned at the start of the third period for roughing, while young netminder Lee Freeman was given time between the pipes, conceding only one goal and winning the man-of-the-match award.
