A package from America containing more than a kilo of cannabis was found in the post.

The parcel, which was found by the UK Border Force, was being sent to a property in Hoo.

Kent Police were alerted of the findings on Wednesday, November 2 after the package was found to contain 1.02kg of cannabis.

A spokesman said: "On Monday, November 7, officers arrested a man in his 30s from Suffolk.

"A woman in her 30s from Hoo was arrested on the same date."

Both people have since been released under investigation while officers continue making enquiries.
