A lucky kmfm listener has struck gold - by correctly recognising the sound of a meerkat.

Cheryl Turner, from Rochester, scooped £1,160 by winning kmfm's Kent Sound competition today.

She made the correct guess of a meerkat at Wingham Wildlife Park during the breakfast show with Garry Wilson and Emma Adam this morning.

The Kent Sound sound is a kmfm competition in which listeners have to guess the source of a mystery sound.

Incorrect guesses had included horse shoes at the Grand National, a baby lamb at Hadlow and a train on the Dymchurch and Hythe Railway.
