One lane of the Wainscott Bypass is currently closed heading towards Chatham after a car fell off the back of a trailer.

Passerby Trevor Birch said: "A trailer carrying a classic car has crashed near the Four Elms Roundabout and there are debris across the road. It looks like the car came off the back of the trailer."

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 10:36 to reports that a vehicle had fallen off a trailer on the Wainscott Bypass in the direction of Chatham.

"One lane is currently closed while the vehicle is recovered."
