This weekend will be the last chance to see the Knife Angel.

The striking 25ft-high statue made of 100,000 confiscated knives has been installed at Rochester Cathedral throughout September.

The monument has been visited by over 26,000 people during its time at the cathedral.

It has toured many venues across the country but this has been the first time it has made a stop in the south east.

The Knife Angel is considered a national monument against violence and aggression and a powerful symbol of the dangers of carrying knives.

The project is a collaboration between the Home Office, 43 UK police constabularies, families of victims and the British Ironwork Centre in Shropshire.

As part of the tour, a conference on knife crime was held at the Historic Dockyard Chatham.

At the conference, participants called on the government to ban the sale of pointed domestic knives.

A special service was also held at the cathedral on Saturday, September 21.

The last day you can see it will be on Sunday between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

The cathedral will be closed tomorrow but visitors will be able to access the garden to see the Knife Angel.
