Chatham Town assistant manager Keith Levett not taking strugglers Waltham Forest for granted

Chatham assistant boss Keith Levett is being wary ahead of their visit to strugglers Waltham Forest.

The Ryman League Division 1 North side have won just once at their Wadham Lodge ground.

It’s the worst home record in the division but Levett knows Forest have players that can cause problems.

He said: “They may be struggling but we won’t be approaching the game any different.

“We’ve tended to under-perform against the so-called lesser teams and need to make sure we raise our game.

“They will be tough and desperate for points themselves. We played them last year and lost at our place so we know what they can do. They are always dangerous as they have pace and can catch teams on the break.

“We need to be solid and the players need to have the right attitude. If we have both of those, then we have a good chance.”

Chatham head into Saturday's match in good form, having taken a point off high-flying Needham Market last weekend. On Tuesday night they reached the quarter-finals of the Robert Dyas Cup, after beating Cray Wanderers 2-1 at home.
