Aaron Glass's 89 proved crucial as Gore Court 2nds lifted themselves off the bottom of the table with a five-wicket win against Lordswood 2nds in the Shepherd Neame Kent League Premier Division on Saturday.

Opener Nathan Moore (38) top-scored for Lordswood, who were all out for 188, Nigel Sharp returning figures of 4-33. Gore Court knocked off the required runs in 48.5 overs.

Rainham opener Jonathan Prince hit 79 as he and fellow opener Paul Swaine (33) made a bright start in reply but the rest of the batting disappointed leaving the side agonisingly short.

Alex Cross took 4-43 and Paul Belsey 3-29 as High Halstow 2nds dismissed Addington Village 2nds for 126 in Division 3. Tim Munday (42 not out) guided High Halstow to an eight-wicket win.

Jim Phillips scored an unbeaten 122 in Upchurch 2nds’ winning draw against Sidcup 2nds in Division 4.

Upchurch reached 227-6 but Sidcup held out on 143-8, despite Sanjiv Balachandran’s 5-15.
