M2 traffic held between Chatham and Strood due to concerns for the welfare of a woman

Traffic was temporarily held on the M2 this afternoon following concerns for the welfare of a woman.

At 1.44pm, traffic was stationary in both directions between J3, for Chatham, and J2, near the A228 Sundridge Hill, for Strood and Rochester.

The woman is now with patrols and traffic has been released.
