A crash involving three cars closed a major road in both directions.

The incident happened at about midday in Maidstone Road, Rochester.

One person said online it took place outside the SPAR convenience store.

A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed the force had been called at 12.04pm, adding: “Officers and paramedics attended the scene where three people reported minor injuries.

“The vehicles have since been recovered.”

Traffic is reported to be coping well.

The ambulance service has been approached for comment.
