Woman arrested after Chatham man is 'stabbed' and airlifted to hospital

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a man suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to a London hospital.

It is understood the man has suffered stab wounds to the chest and legs.

Police were called to a home in Swallow Rise, Chatham, at about 5.20pm after being called in by ambulance crews who were treating the man.

Police were called to the scene by ambulance crews Blue Light Media @Media999E (9169316)

The Kent Air Ambulance also landed nearby as the man had to be airlifted to a London hospital his injuries were deemed that serious.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "A woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody."
