A man has been arrested after a teenager claimed she was sexually assaulted in a car park.

The young victim was standing in Witham Way near Strood on Saturday (August 19) when a stranger spoke to her.

It is alleged he took her to the parking area near Humber Crescent – close to Strood Sports Centre – where he sexually assaulted her. It is all said to have happened between 10.10pm and 11.50pm,

Yesterday (August 21), a man in his 20s from Rochester was arrested in connection with the assault and taken into custody.
