A man has been arrested after a woman was raped inside a vehicle during the early hours.

Police were called to the scene near the A226 in Rochester just after 4.15am today.

A spokesman for the force said: "Officers attended along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"A man in his 30s from London has been arrested on suspicion of rape.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

The arrested man has been bailed until November 1, pending further enquiries.
