Man arrested after police called to disturbance at house in Broadway, Gillingham

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drinking driving and an assault following reports of a disturbance at a house.

Officers were called to a property in Broadway, Gillingham, shortly after 11pm on Thursday.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of numerous charges in connection with a disturbance at a house.

It was reported the suspect left the area in a vehicle and was later stopped in Purser Way.

Ryan Barrett, of Beechings Way, Twydall, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drinking driving and failing to stop when requested to.

The 26-year-old was also charged with the assault of an emergency work, criminal damage and using violence to secure entry to property.

A further charge of using threatening or abusive words was also brought.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates Court today.
