Police descended on a residential street to arrest a man in connection with cultivating cannabis.

They detained a man in his 50s at around 8.40pm last night in Winston Road, Strood.

The police, who were executing a warrant, also arrested the man for obstructing a police officer.

The man was released under investigation as enquiries continue.
