Man arrested on suspicion of 'inciting sexual activity' after police raid in Chatham High Street

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sex offences after police raided a high street address.

Officers investigating reports of sexual abuse carried out a pre-planned warrant at an address in Chatham High Street.

A number of officers were involved in the raid on Wednesday morning.

A police spokesman said a man in his 60s and from Chatham was arrested on suspicion of inciting sexual activity.

He has since been released on bail, while inquiries continue, until September 29.

Officers were also accompanied at the scene by a film crew making a TV show involving various police forces.
