A man has been arrested after a woman was reportedly raped following a night out at a club in Medway.

The woman, who is in her 20s and has not been named, has told police she was sexually assaulted after travelling to Sittingbourne, following a night at the Casino Rooms in Blue Boar Lane, Rochester.

The assault is said to have happened overnight on Friday, August 22, and police launched an investigation.

Earlier today, a police spokesman confirmed officers had arrested a man.

The spokesman added: “A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further inquiries.”
