Chatham: Simon Cuthbert charged with arson after fire at shared house in Boundary Road

Police investigating a suspicious fire at a shared house in Chatham have charged a man.

Simon Cuthbert, 54, of no fixed address, has been remanded to prison after being charged with one count of arson with intent.

It follows a blaze at the property in Boundary Road, which happened between 10.20pm and 11pm on Friday, August 11.

Cuthbert appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and was remanded to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, September 11.
