David Cloke, from Chatham, charged after spate of fires in Chatham town centre

A man has been charged after a spate of fires in Chatham town centre.

Police received reports of five suspicious fires in commercial refuse bins on November 12, 2016, January 11, April 15, April 16 and April 18.

David Cloke, 48, of Fort Pitt Street, Chatham, has been charged with five counts of arson.

He has been released on bail to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, June 20.
