Edmas Milito of Canterbury Street, Gillingham, charged with attempted rape

A man has been charged with attempted rape.

Edmas Milito, 23, of Canterbury Street, Gillingham, was arrested on Thursday.

The attempted rape allegedly took place in Haig Avenue, Chatham, in the early hours of Tuesday, July 24.

Police have subsequently charged Milito and he appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court today.

He is set to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, August 31.
