Dominic Stockdale, of Ordnance Terrace, Chatham, charged with attempted robbery and threatening with a knife

A man has been charged with attempted robbery and threatening someone with a knife.

Dominic Stockdale, of Ordnance Terrace, Chatham, allegedly entered a shop in Beatty Avenue, just before 11pm on Wednesday, August 22, and demanded money.

The 47-year-old reportedly threatened a member of staff with a knife.

A man has been charged and will appear at Medway Magistrates' Court.

However, no money was exchanged and the suspect left the scene on foot.

He will appear before Medway Magistrates' Court today.
