Detectives charge Lewis Ludlow with terrorism offences after Rochester arrest

Police have charged a 26-year-old man with terrorism offences.

It comes after a man was arrested in Rochester on Wednesday, April 18.

Detectives from Counter Terrorism Policing South East announced that Lewis Ludlow of Warren Wood Road in Rochester was charged with two counts of engaging in conduct in preparation for acts of Terrorism.

That is contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006. He also faces one count of arranging funds or property for the purposes of Terrorism contrary to Section 17 of the Terrorism Act.

Ludlow remains in police custody and has been remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates tomorrow.
