Man facing abduction charge remanded again

A 46-year-old Gillingham man charged with abducting a teenage girl was remanded in custody again when he appeared before Medway magistrates on a video link today.

David Milner, of Victoria Street, had denied the charge at an earlier hearing.

He faces 22 other charges of unlawful sexual intercourse, gross indecency and indecent assault. He has entered no plea on these charges.

Mr Milner, on a video link from Elmley Prison on the Isle of Sheppey, spoke only to confirm his name and address.

The magistrates adjourned the hearing until November 25 and extended Mr Milner's period of custody until November 26.
