Man taken to hospital with "life-threatening injuries" after fall in The Brook, Chatham

A man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after apparently falling from the roof of a multi-storey car park.

Police were called to The Brook in Chatham town centre at 11.10am yesterday following a report that a man had apparently fallen from the roof of the car park.

The man, said to be in his early 20s, is said to have life threatening injuries.

He was treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The Kent Air Ambulance was also called out and landed nearby.

A police spokesman said: "The man remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital. Enquiries into the circumstances behind the incident are ongoing."
