A man was tragically found dead in the River Medway, police have confirmed.

A body was found in the water at Elmhaven Marina, Halling, near Rochester, on Saturday evening.

The man has since been identified as being from Medway and in his 50s. His next of kin has been made aware.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
