Joshua Stimpson, from Wouldham, in court over Molly McLaren's alleged murder at Chatham Dockside

A man is due to appear in court today charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend.

Molly McLaren, 23, was stabbed to death in the car park of the Dockside Outlet shopping centre in Chatham in June.

Her former partner Joshua Stimpson, 25, from High Street, Wouldham, is due to enter a plea at Maidstone Crown Court today.

Molly, who lived in Cobham, died at the scene of the alleged attack on the morning of Thursday, June 29.

The car park was cordoned off for several hours while forensic officers inspected the area.

At a previous hearing, Judge Adele Williams set a trial date for January 22 next year.

Family and friends of Molly have set up a charity in her name to support people with eating disorders.
