Man injured during road rage incident in Middle Street, Brompton, sparking police appeal

A road rage incident left a man with a fractured leg and injuries to his face, sparking a police appeal for witnesses.

Officers say they were called out to the roundabout at the junction of Middle Street, Brompton, at about 9.30am on Tuesday, September 16, after a man was assaulted.

It is believed that the drivers of two cars were involved in an altercation at the roundabout after a man got out of his silver BMW and approached the car behind him.

The victim, sitting a blue Ford Focus was allegedly punched and kicked by the BMW driver.

The attacker then got back in his car leaving the victim on the floor with two fractures to his leg and injuries to his eye socket.

Police say they have arrested a 54 year-old Gillingham man on suspicion of assault and he has been bailed pending further inquiries until Monday, November 24.
