Man pleads guilty to burglary following Chatham theatre break-in

A 45-year-old has pleaded guilty to stealing power tools and electrical items from a theatre.

Police received a report on April 19 that a burglary was in progress at the Central Theatre in Chatham.

Officers attended the address in the High Street at around 6am.

Later that day Adrian Edwards, of no fixed address, was arrested by the Medway Community Policing Team.

He was charged by North Kent CID with burglary and possessing a class B psychoactive substance.

Edwards attended Medway Magistrates' Court last Wednesday, where he pleaded guilty to both offences.

He pleaded guilty to both offences and has been remanded in custody to appear for sentence at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be determined.
