Dover man Connor Ashworth-Driver, 22, charged with aggravated burglary and stabbing in Gillingham

A man accused of carrying out an aggravated burglary and two stabbings has been remanded in custody.

Connor Ashworth-Driver, 22, was charged after officers investigated an aggravated burglary in Gillingham, in last year.

He was arrested on Tuesday, January 30, and was later charged with the aggravated burglary and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm.

The charges relate to an incident in Gardiner Street, Gillingham, on Sunday, October 22.

At the time, the road was sealed off after a man was stabbed during the incident in the early hours of the morning.

Officers were called to Gardiner Street in Gillingham at around 4.30am after the man in his 20s, was found with stab wounds. He as taken to a London Hospital by air ambulance.

A woman, also in her 20s was then found injured at a property in nearby Skinner Street and was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Ashworth-Driver, of Salisbury Road, Dover, appeared before magistrates in Medway on Wednesday, January 31, and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Wednesday, February 28.
