Man rescued from chalk quarry near Kits Coty, Blue bell Hill, air lifted to Tunbridge Wells hospital with leg injuries

A man found at the base of a quarry has been flown to hospital.

The helicopter was called out just after 3pm yesterday when the man was spotted in the chalk quarry near to Kits Coty Farm on Blue Bell Hill.

The man had leg injuries as well as other wounds after it is believed he fell into the pit.

The air ambulance has been called to a crash where a man has been cut free from the wreckage of a van. Stock image.

An ambulance and two Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) vehicles also attended.

He was flown to Tunbridge Wells Hospital Pembury.
