Chatham man arrested after knife attack victim taken to hospital following incident at Gillingham Park

A man had to be taken to hospital after he was left with slash injuries from a knife attack.

The victim, who needed hospital treatment, was assaulted in Gillingham Park, Gillingham, between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Sunday, July 19.

Man arrested as knife attack victim requires hospital treatment

A 22-year-old man, from Chatham, was arrested this morning on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He was taken to a police station where he remains in custody.

A police spokesman said an investigation to examine the "full circumstances" of what happened was ongoing.
