Three arrested after man stabbed in the head and hands during robbery in Shorts Way, Rochester

Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the head and hands during a burglary last week.

Officers were called to an address in Shorts Way, Rochester, at around 11.45pm on Friday.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries "consistent with stab wounds", where he remains in a stable condition.

One witness described seeing half a dozen police cars and other emergency services at the scene in the early hours of Saturday morning.

In the early hours of Tuesday, officers from the force's County Lines and Gangs Team arrested a man and two women in connection with the incident.

Marvin Joseph, 26, of St Loyes Street, Bedford, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and robbery.

While Sharne Rossiter, 33, of Berber Road, Frindsbury, was charged with robbery.

Both appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where Joseph was remanded and Rossiter was bailed.

They will both appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, March 22.

A 38-year-old woman of no fixed address was also arrested and has been bailed until May 19 pending further inquiries.
