Gillingham: man taken to hospital after assault

A man has been taken to hospital following an assault in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called at 3.50am following reports of an attack on a man in Gillingham High Street.
Officers attended the scene and a man in his 30s was taken to hospital by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Online reports suggest a gang of youths was responsible and police confirmed that a group of people had been reportedly involved.
The man sustained facial injuries, but they are not believed to be serious. No arrests have yet been made.
