A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy dual carriageway.

Police and paramedics were called to the accident in Pier Road, Gillingham, near The Strand Leisure Park.

A man was treated at the scene just after 3pm.

He has since been taken to hospital for further treatment.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service has been contacted for more information.
