A man's body has been found by police in a Gillingham flat.

The unnamed man is thought to have died in a suspected drugs overdose.

His body was found by officers in Mill Road at about 9am on Sunday morning.

An ambulance was called and the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.

A Medway Police spokesman said: "At this time the death is not being treated as suspicious."
