Inquest hears Chatham man, 30, died in Chalk Pit Park

An inquest into the death of a man found at a park concluded he took his own life.

The body of Piotr Stankiewicz, 30, was found in Chalk Pit Park, Chatham.

Part of the road was taped off while officers investigated

Coroner Bina Patel led an investigation into the Polish national's death at County Hall, Maidstone, on Monday afternoon.

Miss Patel concluded the Chatham High Street resident, who was found hanged, died by suicide.

Emergency services were called to Hartington Street at around 7.40am on December 6.

Parts of the Chalk Pit Hill area were taped off by police who conducted an investigation.
