Police chiefs, council, fire service and representatives from Medway NHS will take questions from Gillingham residents at a Medway version of Question Time on Wednesday.

It will take place from 7-8pm at New Brompton College, Marlborough Road, Gillingham.

If successful it will be repeated in other parts of Medway during 2010.

The panel will include the Chief Executive of Medway Council, the area commander for Kent Police in Medway, the Chief Executive of NHS Medway, and the North Division area manager for Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

Neil Davies, Chief Executive of Medway Council, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the people of Medway to come along and put their questions directly to the people running services on their behalf."

Ch Supt Steve Corbishley, area commander for Kent Police in Medway, said: “I welcome this event. It is right to meet, listen and be put on the spot regarding local concerns.

“We are a listening organisation and want to know what residents need us to tackle.”

Questions can be about any subject.

If you want to put a question to the panel email it together with contact details to Lee.winter@medway.gov.uk or write to You Say, We’ll Listen - Medway Question Time, c/o Communications Team, Medway Council, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR. The deadline for submitted questions is 6pm on Wednesday, December 2.
