A young shopper has been chosen to front an advertising campaign for a top retailer.

Tanisha Williams-Sanders of Honeysuckle Close, Chatham, was picked from 28,000 youngsters to be one of the faces of Next.

The four-year-old is now on posters at stores across the country, including her local Next in Strood Retail Park.

Her mum Maria Sanders said: “It’s very exciting. I have tried telling Tanisha her picture is in the shop windows but she just looks at me like I’m mad.

“Once she’s it a few times it’ll sink in.”

The 33-year-old was in Next when she found out about the competition last year when a staff member told her Tanisha should be put forward.

The youngster had to get as many votes as possible online during the first stage of the contest, and then went before a panel of judges before being chosen as one of the final 10 children to appear.

Maria said: “I didn’t think she’d get through because there were so many people that went for it, and she’s never done any modelling before.”

The posters featuring Tanisha are up now.
