Two men have denied murder after a body was found near a bridge.

Billy Dole, of Chorister Close, Hoo, and Levi Webb, of Scolars Rise, Strood, are alleged to have killed Peter Beale on Monday, September 17.

The body of Mr Beale, 39, from Sittingbourne, was found next to Rochester bridge the following day - Tuesday, September 18. He died from stab wounds.

Prosecutor Madeleine Woolf said there were “potentially” three more defendants in the case, but not on murder charges.

Dole, 28, and 21-year-old Webb were remanded in custody until their trial on March 18 next year.
