Stonehenge, the Great Barrier Reef, the Statue of Liberty - and now Chatham.

The Chatham World Heritage Partnership is hoping the town will join other famous sites across the world and be granted World Heritage status.

The group, which aims to improve understanding of the importance of Chatham's heritage and its role in Medway's future, is holding a meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) for those keen to find out more about its work and the bid. There will also be updates on the Great Lines Heritage Park.

The meeting will be at the Royal Dockyard Church in the Historic Dockyard, 6pm-7pm. Admission is free. Call 01634 331176 or email chathamworldheritage@medway.gov.uk for last-minute availability.
