Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash and two arrested after a police pursuit.

A 32-year-old man from Swanley and an 18-year-old woman, of no fixed address, were arrested at the scene for suspected traffic offences.

Now police are appealing for information after the crash in Star Hill, Rochester just before 11pm last night.

Officers had signalled for a silver Jaguar to pull over on the M2 London-bound 10 minutes prior to the incident.

After failing to stop it was pursued by police with assistance from a helicopter, but the pursuit was stopped before the collision.

The three hurt are not deemed to have life-threatening injuries, but were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

In line with police policy the Office for Police Conduct has been notified.

Witnesses are asked to contact contact the appeal line on 01634 792209, quoting reference 15-1880. Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage.
