Pedestrian flown to London hospital after being hit by car on Commercial Road, Strood

A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Strood.

The victim was struck just after 5pm on the A2, Commercial Road.

The pedestrian has been taken by air ambulance to a London hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have been criticised

Kent Police were called to the accident.

The road is partially blocked and traffic is building in the area.
