A person has been airlifted to hospital after being involved in a car crash.

An air ambulance was spotted landing in The Coney Banks area of Chatham.

The helicopter attended to a patient who had been involved in a crash nearby at around 1pm.

Crews worked with other emergency services to help treat the patient who was taken to a major trauma centre by air.

Both police and the ambulance service have been contacted for more information.
