Person in hospital after collision on Medway City Estate

A person has been taken to hospital after a collision on the Medway City Estate.

Two vehicles were involved in a collision at 7.32am this morning on Anthony's Way at the junction with Terance Butler Avenue, close to the McDonald's drive-thru and Co-op petrol station.

Motorists can expect delays getting onto the estate both from the A289 Berwick Way and A289 Vanguard Way.

Witnesses reported seeing one ambulance and two police cars at the scene.

A man also appears to be being treated on the roadside.

SECAMB spokeman Rich Airey said: "I can confirm that one ambulance crew attended the scene following reports of a two vehicle collision on Anthony’s Way, at approximately 7.30am.

"One person was assessed and treated at the scene for injuries including a head injury before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital."

Police spokesman Scarlet Drayson said: "Officers attended the scene in Anthony’s Way, Medway City Estate.

"Work is ongoing to recover the vehicles from the road and drivers are warned there may be delays."
