A belated Christmas party at Deanwood Children's Centre

The latest edition of the Medway Messenger is in the shops now with all the latest news, pictures and sport.

As Olympics tickets go on sale from tomorrow, we ask people if there is going to be ticket fever in the Towns - or whether wallets will be kept firmly shut.

Heartfelt messages of support have been sent to Medway's twinned cities in devastated Japan. Ito and Yokusuka, which were on high alert after the quake and tsunami, have close bonds with Gillingham.

There were smiles all round when Rocco the puppy, who was stolen in a burglary at his family's Strood home, was reunited with his delighted owners. Check out the pictures in today's paper.

And see if you can spot your child in pictures from a very belated Christmas party (above). Deanwood Children's Centre, in Rainham, held a party to replace the festive occasion cancelled when bad weather hit the school in December.

Jenni Horn brings you Going Out, two pages of all the latest news on the local entertainment scene including an interview with comedian Andy Parons, who is coming to Chatham's Central Theatre.

The week's TV highlights are in Box Clever, including this year's Comic Relief charity fundraising night.

There are quizzes, crossword and Sudoku on our Coffee Break page and columnists Nikki White and kmfm DJ Andy Walker are both in action.

Sport tells how Gills striker Cody McDonald insists rivals will feel the pressure after the club beat Accrington 3-1 on Saturday.

All this and lots more in the latest edition of the Medway Messenger - pop out and pick up your copy today.
